Overview

With eight different brews, Big River Grill and Brewing Works will surely have a flavor and body to suit your taste. From the light Sweet Magnolia to the stout and hearty Iron Horse Dark, you will find micro-brewed nirvana in downtown Nashville. Pints are available for just a few dollars, depending on the brew. Should you get hungry from lifting all those mugs, there is a complete lunch and dinner menu.

        The food was good, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. My husband loved the beer though and was trying to figure out how to get it back to NC with him! I would go back and eat there, but I can't say that it was worth the money we spent.

        Their burgers are not made from traditional hamburgers, instead made from groud steak, GREAT flavor, get it a little rarer if you like because it isn't hambuger, great flavor, and when you consider prices around the area, $18.00 for 2 huge steak bugers and fries is one heck of a deal!

        Big River has the best steaks we have ever eaten!!! The Sugar Snap Peas that are served with them are delicious. (Wish I had the recipe, mine never taste that good) Every time we go to Nashville we eat there. (Especially after a Titans game) It's great!!!

        Serving sizes varied greatly based on what you ordered. Crab cakes and BBQ had miniscule servings. Pizza and chicken dinners had enough for two people to eat. Other items were about right. Service was quick and friendly. We had a group of 17 from our office at lunch time. We were seated and greeted promptly, orders taken quickly and we had our meals within 20 minutes of orders.
