I liked the fact that it was close to the bridge to go to Paradise Island where the Atlantis Resort is. I also LOVED the fact that literraly right next door was a shopping plaza. Subway, KFC, grocery store, even a Starbucks! Plus the rooms have a large fridge and microwave. Downside was the pool had a bunch of leaves in it and i guess the maintanice men use that back part where the pool is to store items. Not very pleasing to the eye. There was some buggies in the room but for it being in the tropics the buggies weren't bad. Kinda like it being summer here in the states. Room services is on there game and come by EVERYDAY to make sure you have what you need. Don't want them there.....HANG THE SIGN UP (learned that the hard way) Overall the hotel was not bad for the price, plus it was in a very conveinent location. I would stay again if I was looking to save money, not to spoil mysself.
I love this place! It is so awesome!I love it !I love it! it awesome!:).it is so great but i realy mean it!You need cleaner restrooms though. other than that it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A nice small, clean and quite hotel just off the main road - so it is close to all the things you need to get to (like beach and shops .. there is a shopping plaza right next door)but still far enough away that your not in all the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are very clean and all have a fridge and microwave ... perfect for storing snacks and drinks to keep on tap with out mini bar prices attached. Had plenty of hotwater and water pressure was adequate. The gardens are great, lots of greenery and flowers adds to the tranquil feel. Has a big pool with a nice patio area - very private. If you are looking for glitzy 4 star accommodations with over inflated prices you should not stay here but if you are looking for a nice comfortable stay with clean basic rooms and want to save a few $$ at the same time then you have found the right hotel.
It was too far from the airport which made for an expensive taxi ride. Not a particularly friendly receptionist. There was no hot water for a morning shower.
I just got back from spending 5 days in the Bahamas and we used the Red Carpet Inn in Nassua as our base of operations. First of all if you are staying there it is because it is one of the cheapest places to stay in that area. But is unreliable running water, poor service, and un-refundable "deposits" worth the hassle while on vacation? The shower flow never was about a dribble and hot water was nearly non-existant. Our room access cards had to be reset three times in 5 days. And lastly, if you want to place a call from your room you must go make a cash deposit for them to activate your phone. Outbound local calls are .50 a call which isn't a big deal but you will never see your deposit again.
Good cheap option within a walk or $10 cab ride of beautiful Paradise Island beaches--fridge and microwave in rooms, and right next to a shopping plaza, so you can self-cater a beach lunch, wine and cheese if you bring a small cooler, and avoid the super-expensive and yucky tourist food. Totally clean.
