Overview
I loved the friendly and knowledgable staff. Had so much fun interacting with the dolphins!
We had a wonderful experience on Blue Lagoon Island recently. We did the dolphin program which was fantastic. We got to swim and play with the dolphins.. once in a lifetime experience. We also did the Sea Lion Encouter. this was SOOOO much fun. We got to play with 2 of the adult California Sea Lions, they were playful and fun. Staff was terrific, couldn't have a better time. We spent the rest of the afternoon at Blue Lagoon Beach, great beach, lots of chairs, hammocks strung inthe trees, sport shack etc. We also had a great lunch (angus burger with fruit and punch -$12) yummy. We took the last boat back to Nassau at 4pm. I can't think of a better day - it was fantastic.
Good times, Stingrays are cool, get the feed them as they swim around you, very friendly and docile. Maybe a little expensive ($55) for the half day.
Just a perfect place to relax... a hammock, blue water, friendly fishes, & rum punch... perfect! The food may have been just "OK", but the scenery & set-up was perfect.
yeah well ive never been to the bahamas but it sounds GREAT! im doing a report on it for my computer class and i cant wait to go there if i have the time and money
this restarant was very exotice and lovely. I enjoyed their food and serivce. They treated everybody equally and fairly and their service was Perfect! Next time I visit the Bahamas i will be sure to visit them and tell everybody about this great restaurant.
To keep it short and sweet I will say. The Dolphin Encounter on Blue Lagoon Island is a once in a lifetime experience. Do it, Do it, Do it! You will not regret it one bit. Best experience of my life!
We were lucky to get the last two spots to blue lagoon island because we didnt plan ahead and almost missed our cruise leaving nassau. So Make RESERVATIONS. The island is so beautiful, the stingrays are amazing, the people were so nice. Thanks to the nice people who drove the glass bottom boat tour, we were able to make it back to the cruise ship before the ship left. I want to go back but w/o running back to the cruiseship. I didnt get to visit paradise island or go to dolphin encounters.
I really enjoyed Blue Lagoon, could be for my own personal reasons but I do believe it was really beautiful! Our hotel stay in the Bahamas wasn't great, so this was such a welcome. In the lobby of our hotel we were told about this and it sounded good and the price was right (I believe we paid under $70 for 2 people). The price included being picked up from the hotel, taken to the pier, then the "Island itself" and taken back to the hotel (or any other hotel they were going to). While at Blue Lagoon, were given a beach chair (that also floats in the water), snorkel gear, lazy tube, etc. all for that 1 price. We had a personal lifeguard: quite the ladies man and quite handsome: SHANE. Also, included in the price was lunch and juice. Lunch wasn't that great to me, but it was like 100 degrees so it wasn't the first thing on my mind either. The water was nice (I've been to other islands that were better, but nice all in all), everyone was very friendly)(especially the men) and there was also a place to pick up gifts! All in all I had a wonderful time, I got more than my money's worth! I guess the one thing I would say that I didn't like was that when we went snorkeling there weren't many pretty fish to see, some but not many.
I hate to sound like too much of a proponent, but I am not sure that is possible with the Blue Lagoon. This place was incredible. I know, there may be better or similar places on earth, but for the cost and the privacy (the cost keeps the number of people on the island to a reasonable number), I don't know how you beat it. From the moment you step off the boat, to the second you step back on, prepare to relax and do nothing... Raymond
