Pragati Maidan is much more than the country's premier exhibition complex. It is a melting pot of visitors from all walks of life and interests. It is a huge complex with a contemporary design, surrounded by greenery. It is divided into smaller buildings and compounds, which play hosts to a plethora of national and international exhibitions of all kinds. The place is forever busy throughout the year with art, book, trade, home accessories, technology, motor fairs. The complex houses five permanent exhibitions, which include the Mehru Pavilion, The Son of India -Sanjay Gandhi, Atomic Energy an Defense Pavilion.
