Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale in Madison has been delighting customers since 1979 with mounds of fresh scallops, scrod, shrimp, clams, crabs and lobster. This casual restaurant is great for people of all ages and is particularly child friendly with the outdoor ice cream stand and carousel (all proceeds go to local charities). Fish Tale is packed every night during the summer as it's not far from Hammonasset State Park, not to mention even packing customers in on weekends in the winter. Go to the counter, order and pay, find yourself a table, pick up your tray and enjoy some of the best local seafood. There is also a lobster stand open daily in summer and on weekends in the winter months. Don't forget to pick up a t-shirt (they change yearly) for only $6 that tells everyone you ate there as well as making a fashion statement. There is also the sit-down restaurant Lenny & Joe's in Westbrook, just five miles up the road.
