Overview

This 12-mile driving tour starts in Branford and snakes along the Long Island Sound into Guilford. Meander through the shoreline area, delight in all the contrasts: 18th and 19th century homes, town greens and shops, picnic spots in parks, views of the water and plenty of places to pull over and find a morsel to eat - seafood lovers, take note, this is your ride. This can be a day's journey or a 45-minute detour, but enjoy it year-round, with special emphasis during the summer months and then in foliage season.
