Overview
Louisiana Children's Museum offers a toddler area and children's drama, dance, and puppet shows. There are also art and science exhibits, as well as hands-on math and physics exhibits, and a reproduction of a television studio. Many of the exhibits are geared toward learning through doing. This style of learning makes it fun for both parents and kids alike. This is a great rainy day field trip and a good place for anyone trying to get away from the "adult" aspects of the city.
Open Hours
- Thursday to Saturday from 09:30 AM to 04:30 PM
- Sunday from 12:00 PM to 04:30 PM
The thing I love about visiting this museum is that they always make you feel like you're at home. I make it a point to bring my kids back home every year and every time, it's a different experience.
My family absolutely loves the museum! It is so much fun and has something for every aged child to do. My children always have an awesome time there.
The it'll be worth it, but the last time I went the museum needed a serious update as many of it's interactive exhibits where broken.
Truly fun and appropriate for all ages of the family. My children enjoyed it and now we're taking our grandchildren who love to go.It just keeps getting better!
I LOVED THIS PLACE BECAUSE IT WAS SOMEWHERE THAT ME AND MY FAMILY REALLY ENJOYED IT. MY FAMILY WAS SO CUTE AS NEWS ANCORS AND I LOVED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCCE
The girls went to this museum three times in the course of a week of mostly Jazzfest outings. They loved the grocery store and restaurant upstairs. They also loved the riverboat. There are many activities for a full range of ages. We saw children as young as 2 having a great time, and ours, which are 6-7 loved it. I highly recommend it.
I loved the News studio and the grocery store, because it simulates the real world that the little ones observe and gives them hands-on exposure.
My sister-in-law and I took our kids here while on vacation in New Orleans. Our kids ages ranged from 1 to 11. All the kids found something of interest/fun here. It was a nice surprise in a city that can be geared for adults.
