Overview
Long before there was the Comedy Central cable television channel, there was legendary comedian Rodney Dangerfield. The forefather of much of today's crude humor passes on his name and the jester tradition to other comics at this marvelous venue. Wisecracking comedians steal the limelight from each other as they share their routines. Expect tame to raunchy material and a considerable crowd. Try to get there early to secure a good seat. Open from Saturdays to Thursdays from 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 p.m.
Bought our tickets for $10/each ($20 tickets) from a vendor on Times Square. Talked with him for over 20 mins. - we had free tickets to another club but paid the price. He called in the reservation. Sat right in front of stage, front row seats so to speak. The emcee was funny & each of the 6 comedians interacted with the 4 of us - all women age 50+. The entertainment was worth the price, the drinks not so much. Had to buy 2 drinks each & was presented for a bill for $40 - would have drank more but the waiter (age 80?) was slow & didn't get our 2nd drink until it was almost over. Only 43 were there so why he was so slow I don't know. They need to have more waitrers & get drinks out faster - next time I'd try another comedy club but we did laugh the whole time. Our first comdy club experience as well as trip to NY.
