Overview
This museum places an emphasis on modern American art. It has grown in popularity in recent years, and thanks to an expansion in 1998, there is now a permanent collection on display. Select pieces are housed in the Leonard and Evelyn Lauder Galleries on the fifth floor, including art by Edward Hopper, Georgia O'Keeffe and Alexander Calder. The building, designed by Marcel Breueritself, resembles an upside down pyramid and is an extraordinary sight.Open Hours

We saw the Kara Walker and Lawrence Weiner exhibits. What a poor excuse for art. Made me want to jump. Not my idea of a good time. Save your money and go to MOMA or the MET. It's not that I didn't get it, it's that I wasn't inspired to want to get it!
I enojoyed viewing the many pictures and structures of art, yet i did not like the asmosphere of the musum, there were yobbos in the museum who threatened me with a knife. I would not reccomend or visit the museum again
This museum is underrated & under visited, just the architecture of the building is enough to make it worth the visit. The art was amazing and more exciting than other museums. The gift shop was nice as well. I highly recommend it!
I love this musuem, they always have great exhibitions!!! It needs more promotion, a lot of people have never heard of it!
