    What is the big deal?by Yahoo | 2010-01-19 14:48:48 |

It costs over 20 dollars to go here. I went two times to the "top of the rock" and I wasn't impressed. I just don't understand what is so great about paying that kind of money to go on a roof. The Empire State building is a rip off as well.

    Better than the Empire State!by Yahoo | 2009-08-05 21:55:12 |

Most tourists will go to the Empire State but they're wrong! They should go to the Top of the Rock. It offers a great view. You can take a pic with the empire state in the background. The whole building was very classy with clear glass unlike the Empire State. The best thing was the elevator! It has lights and it goes directly to the top unlike the Empire State, you have to take like 3 elevators! Go to the Top of the Rock is way better than the Empire State.

    Amazing viewby Yahoo | 2008-06-28 19:03:26 |

It is definately a view to remember. On a clear day you can see for miles. On one side you have an amazing view of Central Park. On the other side you have an amazing view of the Empire State Building with lower Manhattan behind it. There were no long lines to wait in. You can be up there as long as you want. I would say best view in NYC. I highly, highly recommend a trip to the Top of the Rock.

    Romanceby Yahoo | 2007-12-10 20:06:59 |

The night I was asked will you marry me? and presented with an engagement ring happened at the Top of the Rock, after saying I will, he had a reservation for dinner at the Rainbow Room, the most romantic night of my life, the strolling minstrels played a love song requested by my new fiancee. Oh! what a night to remember. Think about that guys, what a way to propose to your special some one.

    Hooked on New Yorkby Yahoo | 2007-11-12 22:34:29 |

Went up around 10pm on a clear October night. No waiting and very few people visiting at that time. Spent over 1 hour walking around at the top and taking some really cool photos. My hubby is a little scared of heights and although he was OK on top of ESB he did not feel comfortable on top of Rock due to the glass panelling. Felt more exposed and not so stable. Although it did not affect me at all it is worth mentioning if you do have any fear of heights.

Better than the Empire State Buildingby Yahoo | 2007-08-16 05:46:54 |

Liked: Fast, and only one, elevator. Well organised, no waiting. Fantastic location. Great views of all Manhattan and... ...of the Empire State Building! Disliked: A little pricey. Shops: two many but little choice.

    Didnt make it, but...by Yahoo | 2007-08-14 16:11:24 |

We hadnt bought tickets beforehand. There wasnt any rush to get the tickets either, when we got there. But it was a very foggy day and staff quite honestly discouraged every1 from going up there. Tickets already bought were refunded. Those (like us) who came to buy tickets were given a discount coupon to be used for the net visit. Nice hospitality.

    Do this instead of Empire.by Yahoo | 2007-06-10 05:24:30 |

The view was beautiful. It was pretty inexpensive, and there was a small museum that added to the experience. Right inside NBC studios. I loved it!

    Top of the Rockby Yahoo | 2007-05-18 15:33:33 |

It is almost like begin on Top of the world. This view is much better then going to the Empire State Building. Even though you can see everything there. It is much better her. Plus the elevator plays video on the celing, it is really cool. Also good history as well.

    i'm almost afraid to write a reviewby Yahoo | 2007-05-15 19:32:22 |

I don't want to give away the secret to how fabulous the "Top of the Rock" is. The view is breathtaking... so much more pleasant then visiting the Empire State Building due to the crowds, lines and heat while waiting to get upstairs. When you get in the elevator look up at the little show on the ceiling. Also enjoy the cool Target sponsored room prior to exiting outside to the observation area, they have a light motion activated walls...pretty cool.
