"The only pub in Newcastle listed as a tourist attraction" ...proclaims a plaque in this popular small hostelry, just two minutes from St. James's Park, the home ground of Newcastle United Football Club. The pub is decked out with old vinyl records and its free (yes free!) jukebox plays a collection of old soul classics, contributing to a much more relaxed atmosphere than in the rest of the city centre pubs. Favoured by the more discerning drinker, a good range of beers and toasted sandwiches are on offer. Upstairs you will find the Trent House Soul Bar, a pool table, and space to watch all the sports action on Sky TV.
