Attended the Christmas Show. The cathedral was not lit outside, which should have been inspiring. The grounds were rather dark which was unsafe. The inside was industrial looking. Was surprised to learn afterward that the buiding was designed by Phillip Johnson, but his stuff is either good or quirky. I was very disappointed. Didn't think it worth the money. (See above. also) Been there six times from Alaska and have come away inspired by God's word, Dr Shuller's message, the music and guests each time. We have seen their holiday productions sveral times and benefitted immensely from the Spirit of each season. We have taken our grandchildren for thr spiritual experience. The bookstore has also been a special attraction. Besides our home church, we have supported financially the Cathedral while it's services were on Alaska television--they stopped and so did our support. We miss the positive Christian inspiration of the Crystal Cathedral very much.
