Overview

Opening its doors in 1990, this complex was established to celebrate former President Nixon's accomplishments as a peacemaker and an international statesman. From the humble farmhouse built by his father in 1912, to priceless gifts from heads of state, to the peaceful memorials of the President and Mrs. Nixon, the museum and its beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens trace the long road from Richard Nixon's past. In addition to the 22 permanent galleries, the museum has expanded adding the Katherine B. Loker Center and Annenberg Court. At the center of the 47,000 square-foot expansion is a full-size replica of the elegant White House East Room.

With out hesitation The Nixon Library is a must experience! The staff is superb! The Nixon presidential and family artifacts are incredible. The presentation is impeccable. The outside is idylic and peacefull-very tranquil. I was sad to leave but happy to know that I will come back! Incredible just incredible. You will never forget it.

Would return when I had more time to leisurely taken in more.by Yahoo | 2005-02-04 22:53:24 |

I had a school project to do on history, so I picked the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace - the first time I have visited a Presidental Library. My husband came along also, as President Nixon was his dad's favorite President. Although we arrived in the afternoon, we got to watch the video, walked the tour of the museum and visited his house and burial site. I was totally impressed with the place and would recommend it to all to see. Beautiful setting in Yorba Linda.
