Overview

Mopa Mopa is a hallowed art form here in Aruba. Ancient tribes perfected the process (in which the buds of the Mopa Mopa tree are boiled and turned into a resin which is then worked and dyed and applied to wood) centuries ago. Today, the colorful sculptural pieces are still produced in mass quantities and are available for purchase at outlets around the island.
