Overview

This 18 storey, 325 room motel is a bit different than most in the chain, it's a three sided high rise. That means rooms are often a bit unusual in shape, echoing the triangular exterior. Many offer great views of the nearby theme parks, so from some you can watch the park's sparkling fireworks displays. This big Best Western resort works hard to live up to its resort billing, offering gift shops, a restaurant, lounges, and a heated outdoor pool and children's pool area. Attractively decorated rooms with televisions offering pay per view movies and in-room Nintendo games.

Excellent location but not nice and NOT a resortby Yahoo | 2009-10-09 04:50:31 |

This was my second visit. I have stayed in three rooms at this hotel because my last stay we had to switch rooms (giant cockroach ran under the bed...didn't want to sleep with it lurking). Likes: Location (great!) Staff (accommodating) Dislikes: General cleanliness Lots of small broken/damaged elements in room Outdated decor Not a good value for the price, and be aware you must pay a Disney resort fee. Kind of a sad hotel, quiet and empty. Biggest issue for me was the cleanliness, I was not comfortable showering barefoot or sleeping on their sheets (also lumpy pillows).

HOTEL PERFECTIONby Yahoo | 2009-10-05 12:13:40 |

A gem of a hotel. Clean, Quiet, Comfortable. Very nice hotel staff. All very friendly and helpful. Would we go back again? ABSOLUTELY. It's obvious that the hotel has "a few years" on it but maintenance and housekeeping are on top of their game so the age of the hotel isn't a problem. You will even get to meet Jaws and Jesse (very nice touch to a tropical setting). Thanks BEST WESTERN. You really came through.

would never go backby Yahoo | 2009-06-15 14:32:57 |

this was the worst hotel i have stayed at in many years. our resrvation had been canged somehow and it was a problem until a competent superviser stepped in. we paid a resort fee which was just a rip off. the pool was too hot to refresh and it was scummy and filthy. the tv had a nasty buzz that make it hardly worth having on. the valet parking took up all the good parking, so if you chose not to use it, you had a long trip to take your luggage and almost all the valet parking was empty. years ago i stayed here with my kids and it was great. now it is so obviously lacking. sheets had holes, the bathroom didnt look very clean, and just know that we were extremely disappointed. my friend was discusted, too. i wouldnt let my dog stay here. i should have read the other reviews first. stay at disneys all star resort. almost same rates, very clean.

Please be warned!by Yahoo | 2009-03-10 15:19:35 |

I’ve never written a review before but I feel I must warn about this place. It’s not a resort though you do get charged a resort fee up-front that is $7 per day and claims to charge for all of the amenities that are supposed to be included based on their website! It’s only $7, but they still lie and claim that amenities are included. It’s so bogus and dishonest. Then you will be invited to a representative for your “welcome package” that is 2 stupid coupons and basically a sales pitch to get commission on either your Disney tickets or a hotel membership. Tell them you are not interested up front and walk away or you’ll be wasting time. Or, better yet, don’t even bother going to get your “welcome package.” Okay, the room: way outdated bathrooms- paint drips on toilet and counter, nasty stained toilet seats (how hard is it to replace those?), hair on one of the bed sheets, holes in the sheets, shower curtains, and towels. Also, the television made such a horrible loud buzzing/stinging noise I couldn’t stand to have it on. I know that the hotel is old and well used, but they make enough money to occasionally get new linen and the deceitfulness of the resort fee makes things all the worse. The only reason I rated 2 for cleanliness was because of no visible trash (except the hair). The website claims free breakfast but it is only coffee and one bagel or toast per person! You can upgrade to a buffet for $6 but it is so gross it’s not worth it. We did that only one morning and learned from our mistake. Just buy some snacks for your room. The front desk staff was nice enough, but the shuttle drivers were not very friendly and in fact on our last day one driver was overjoyed to inform me that he wasn’t running today even though he was sitting at the stop with his sign turned on (after I ran from the lobby to catch him). In my opinion, the shuttle service (one of the reasons we decided to stay here) isn’t worth it b/c you share with 2 other hotels and there is a ton of waiting and the drop you off very far from the park entrances. I am so glad that I was visiting Disney World, “the happiest place on earth”, or I might not have survived my stay at Best Western. I thought Best Western was a trusted name and a safe bet, but I was proven wrong and will never stay at one again.

want cold water and no air come here!!by Yahoo | 2009-03-09 18:42:32 |

The tv was broke and the air conditioner was hanging out of the hall and we called and complained and the guy didnt care he said to mess with it! then on the last day we had to check out and check back in because me and my sister split the room price.. well they offered us a room then.. i was eligible for a free upgrade room and they said i wasnt i had it in my paperwork. the only thing i liked about this hotel was that they had free transportation thats it, the staff is unfriendly.. terrible place... wish i would of stayed somewhere else.

What a Dump!by Yahoo | 2009-03-07 17:51:30 |

The hotel room was terrible. There was a hole in the wall at the thermostat. The TV made horrible sounds and was fuzzy at times. Called to complain and the service desk was rude. Gave us really no options for the complaint. The picture on there Internet site must be an old one because the outside did not look as nice! At least we did not stay in the room much since we went to Disney! Had a great time anyways.

watch the BS chargesby Yahoo | 2009-02-10 00:44:27 |

The rooms were ok and staff was not fast to help. Busy on the phone during check in, no one ot help to the room. WATCH THE BS SURCHARGE... $7.95 per night xtra charge mentioned at time of check in for coffee in the room, weight room, pool, etc they forgot to mention this on their list of included features. All parking is empty in front because its valet for extra fees for everyone even guests.

You get what you pay for!!! Not Recommendedby Yahoo | 2008-11-24 16:33:48 |

There was nothing at all that I liked about this resort. The first room we were assigned had a strange odor and the bathroom was dirty. Once we were moved our second room wasn't any better but at least it didnt smell and the bathroom was mostly clean. Getting back and forth to and from our room was also an issue because the elevators were always broken down or there was only two working at a time. This meant we had long wait times in the lobby just to get back to our room. Once we waited over an hour because none of the elevators were working. Finally I did not feel as if the staff was willing to go the extra mile to assist the guests with simple requests such as help with adjusting a malfunctioning air conditioning/heating unit in the room. I guess if you are looking for value stay here but remember you get what you pay for.

Love to go back!by Yahoo | 2008-05-01 02:07:22 |

My family enjoyed your stay at the hotel.I loved the smell as you walked thru the front door.It smelled like cinnamon. We stayed on the 15th floor. We had a great view of the fireworks of Epcot. But it was better in the park.I was glad there was bus srvice to the parks. You could walk to Downtown Disney. The rooms were always clean when we got from the parks. The only problem we had was that the safe in our room would not lock.I would stay there again.

Great price and wonderful experience!by Yahoo | 2008-04-29 01:12:17 |

Our group had two rooms and they were both great. Rooms looked like they had recently been painted. The balancies were fantastic. Bathrooms a little dated - but nice & clean. The beds and pllows were great. The staff was freindly & helpful. We were almost afraid to stay after reading some of the other reviews, but by the time we made reservations this was the only option at a reasonable proce. The rooms were well worth the cost and we will stay there again when we're in Orlando.
