This hotel's modern glass façade belies the real age of one of Palermo's oldest hotels, whose elegant, belle époque interior has welcomed a host of illustrious guests over the years, including Wagner, Maupassant and Miller. Built in 1856 as a home for aristocrats, this beautiful building became the Grand Hotel delle Palme in 1874. Several important aesthetic improvements were made in 1907 under the direction of famous Art Nouveau architect Ernesto Basile.
