Overview
Kids delight in this friendly museum filled with interactive exhibits designed to foster curiosity. Archaeologists-to-be will revel in the Archaeological Dig, where they can search for Cahuilla Indian artifact replicas. The regular exhibits are augmented with traveling shows. Children can dress up, work with scientific equipment, explore teamwork and generally have a terrific time exploring more than 50 hands-on exhibits and activities. My 8 year old daughter loves the Museum, we have been going there since she was 4 and still she loves all the activities. We are members and have also had the opportunity to participate in summer camp. The Museum offers stimulation for the creative mind.
Living in the desert and having children is a challenge because their are not enough places to take active children. The Children's Discovery Museum is fun to go to, but becomes boring after the 3rd visit. I would like to see the Museum expand their activities for toddlers and children. The fifteen dollar membership for a year is very affordable and a great bargain.
This is the place we wish we could have spent hours in when we were kids. You name the imaginary outlet and they have it! Our kids had a blast when we went and we enjoyed watching and participating. We can't wait to go back!
My 3 year old, soon to be 4 years old loves going to this place. She loves going from one display to another and another. I myself love it, it is organized and clean and it keeps my daughter entertained.
It is great for young children. There are also enough activities as the children get older. It is still the first outing on my eight year old granddaughter's list when we come to the desert. Unfortunately the adults are always ready to leave before the kids. The longer yopu can stay the better the value. It does seem expensive for the adults to go to just watch, but it is a cool way to spend a few hours.
Excellent museum. My 8-year old daughter has been going since she was 3 years old. She looks forward to visiting every time she sees her grandma who lives in the desert about 2 times a year. Good interactive musuem, a place where kids can talk to each other and play dressup, paint a car, pretend to be a vet, pretend to be a pizza maker, pretend to be a police officer, etc. Lots to do which keeps my daughter busy for 4 or more hours at a time.
It was a nice experience for my kids. My 6 year old though did not want to do much of what they offered.
this place is the best place to go to with your kids
