I highly recommend checking out this quirky place - the staff obviously tend it lovingly, and their appreciation is contagious. What did Cabot Yerxa actually do? Nothing - just lived an interesting life, built this interesting homestead, filled it with the things that he loved, and lived in it with gusto. To get a glimpse into the man's life, and into the people who guard his legacy and guide the rest of us into it is an afternoon well spent. For the discriminating traveler.

I still have the fondest memories of my life living at the Pueblo Museum. We; that is myself, one brother, mother and father did live right on the premises. My father was the main attraction and still is shown on some of the older post cards. I remember sitting on the ledge of an upper window daydreaming of my future. Now eventhough my life travels has taken far from my beloved childhood home, I offten daydream of my past. It is a dream inspiring place with a facination of not being quite sure of where or what will be next. To the present staff and owners as well as any who visit or have visited. we visited on 1/27/2007. our guide was the best! her sincere respect and admiration of cabot yerxa and the life he led was contagious. she was enthusiastic, entertaining, open to questions, and very knowledgable. going on a tour of Cabot's pueblo is a great way to spend the afternoon. btw- there is no on-site artisans like the website says. they are going thru some administrative changes right now.
