Overview

Even for locals, the Montparnasse tower offers a fairytale view of the city. It is accessible thanks to Europe's fastest elevator that whisks you to the top in just 38 seconds. From here, 209 meters (685 feet) up, or from the bar/restaurant on the 56th floor, the panorama extends for miles. Situated above Montparnasse train station, which serves the west of France, the tower is home to offices and businesses. Just by the restaurant is an exhibition that traces the history of Paris since 1858.

It had a great view, had a moderna and sleek view from the outside, and it has a very interesting history. The Cost is outrageous though!

The view from the tour is cool for about 5 minutes so if thats worth 7

Head on up to the 56th floor to get the best view of Paris! The observation area up top is amazing, and you can get a near-panoramic view of all of the City. This is a great first stop to orient yourself with the enormous, amazing city. This was recommended by a top guidebook, and I highly concur. There is a short film that plays in the small theater, but the view is what Montparnasse tower is all about!
