Overview

This ancient Roman road is 262 kilometers long and runs through the main Emilian cities including Parma. It was built by the Consul Marco Emilio Lepidido in 187 BCE and began where Via Flaminia ends, linking Rimini to Piacenza, passing through Cesena, Bologna and Reggio Emilia. Even today, the modern road follows this ancient route and its original boundaries have remained intact.
