Great Deal for Dinner and roomby Yahoo | 2006-08-23 18:24:54 |

We decided to go into the city on a slower night and were surpised when the reservationist offered a package which included dinner at the famous Buddakan( spelling?) as well as complimentary valet parking. The staff was very accommodating and the staff was great. Buddakan was very trendy and lived up to the billing the atmosphere is cool and the food was excellent. A great deal if you care to spend a Sunday in the City.

Doesn't get any Better then thisby Yahoo | 2006-06-28 17:53:55 |

This hotel has one of the friendlies staffs I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived everyone was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us find our way. The hotel is located only a block from the Liberty Bell and all of the best attractions in the city. My kids were so excited to meet Ben Franklin in the lobby and the brunch was off the hook. Can't wait to go back and see their new Spa later this month. An awesome deal and great location

NOT a 4 Star Hotel!!!!by Yahoo | 2006-06-27 15:15:51 |

We stayed at the Omni because a "deal" was offered on Expedia. Even though we had a reservation at the Sheraton near the Philadelphia Museum, we switched to the Omni, thinking it would be nicer at the same price (with taxes, around $200). Check in was fine, and some of the staff were very friendly and courteous. We returned late, tired, and were looking forward to a restful sleep. But there was a loud motor near the room that ran for about 3 minutes every half hour or so throughout the night. This was some sort of air-conditioning equipment associated with the hotel building itself--not street noise (we were on the 10th floor). We called the desk to complain and ask for a room switch. They acted like this was the first time they'd heard of the noise problem, which I'm pretty sure is a regular feature of this particular room. Also, of course, they claimed that there were no other rooms available. So we got very little sleep. In the morning, my partner went down to the manager to try to get the rate adjusted because of our uncomfortable night. The manager said that there would be no charge at all for the room, but that we'd have to contact Expedia to clear the charge. Apparently this procedure is very complicated...we haven't been able to resolve it yet. Maybe that's the intention? Expedia said they tried to contact the manager...but no luck so far. It looks like lots of our time (valuable time!) will be wasted on this. Will it be resolved? Who knows. But the "4 Stars" rating for this hotel is totally bogus. Not recommended.

So cool!by Yahoo | 2006-03-29 01:28:26 |

When my high school went to Philadelphia for our annual band trip, I was so excited. I had looked at pictures of the place before we left, and I was expecting it to be amazing. Actually, it was the best part of the whole trip. The staff was very nice to us and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The pool and hot tub was good. The only part I didn't like was when you got back in the pool after you had been in the hot tub. What a chill! The restaurant was really nice. The gift shop was cool too. The location was awesome. We had a great view of the park from our room, and it was close to all of the historic sites that we visited. The rooms were big and open, and the bathroom was big too. We got a newspaper every morning, and the maids cleaned every day while we were out. They even folded the toilet paper! The weird part was that there was a phone in the bathroom right next to the toilet. Fortunately, it was a different line. The phones also had voice mail. That was a major plus. All in all, the hotel was amazing.

Always the best!by Yahoo | 2005-10-03 22:07:34 |

We go to Philadelphia several times a year and always stay at the Omni. The location is its best feature. Everything in the city is easily accessible and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee bars within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and the service is fine.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IS GREATby Yahoo | 2005-07-19 23:18:11 |

I loved the Front Desk Agent. She was there both when I checked in (Sunday) and again when I check out the next day. I was really suprised to see her first thing in the morning when I did my run at 7am. I asked her if you did a double and she told me. She had a little bit of sleep. But, By her face you wouldn't of known it. She was very helpful and new where all the different resturants and things going on in the area and the times too. Gave my husband and I information on the show at the Liberty Bell and told us where the best place to eat and then make the show too. I would love to come back to the hotel again, on a weekend get-away like that and talk to her about what else in the city I can do. Should have more agents like her that can help guest and give them many things to pick from. The male agent that was with her didn't know much about the hotel and should be a little bit more helpful. But, other then that. The hotel was lovely and I will tell all my friends to come.

Excellent Locationby Yahoo | 2005-06-06 02:28:10 |

This hotel is in very close proximity to the Liberty Bell, Independance Hall, and Carpenter's Hall. In addition, there is a good variety of restaurants close by, from a "mom and pop" diner to fine Italian dining. Public transportation, including a subway station, are within walking distance. Finding the parking garage near the hotel is a problem, since it is not well marked. Parking fees are outrageous, so opt for public transportation whenever possible.

Pretty good, good view of the park!by Yahoo | 2005-05-24 03:03:20 |

Overall, the hotel was very clean and well maintained, the only problem area we encountered was the "hot tub" and pool...unfortunately both were very dirty, and the hot tub was not hot by any means and the pool was not heated either. The sauna room was not really working properly either. But besides that, it was conveninently located to many local attractions including the Liberty Bell and shopping district.

Not what I was expectingby Yahoo | 2005-05-20 16:05:45 |

The hotel is in a great location and while the lobby and foyer were really nice, the rooms were pretty outdated. It seemed as though they had not been remodeled in quite some time. I know this is one of the pricier room rates around town, so I was rather surprised. Probably better of staying at nice B&B in Philly for a little bit more money.

Philadelphia the Easy Wayby Yahoo | 2004-05-17 13:36:35 |

I stayed at the Omni for two reasons; 1 it's easy accessibility to all the historic sites and 2 their indoor pool. I was travelling with my two sons 11 & 13. It was a rainy April week but we made the best of our first of two days. The Hotel was one block away from most of the most visited sites. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was standard nothing to rave about but just fine for us. When we decided to use the pool the first night after dinner it was very cool. We called the maintenance area and they came down almost immediately and adjusted the temperature of the water. Even on checking out they held our luggage so we could do some more last minute touring and even gave us great directions on to our next adventure. Yes, it is on the expensive side but I was travelling along with my sons and I felt safe..it was well worth it for me.
