The Royal Palace commands a fine location overlooking the river at the heart of Phnom Penh. Though most of the buildings of the palace are in fact 20th century constructions, the designs are inspired by traditional Khmer religious and monumental architecture. Important buildings in the palace compound include the Throne Hall and the Silver Pagoda, though, at present the public may only visit the Silver Pagoda and surrounding grounds. Personal greetings to the King can be posted in a special letterbox on Street 240 on the south side of the palace.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 07:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Mo to Su from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PMBeautiful temples, statues, art work and atmosphere. Definitely a nice pick me up after seeing the genocide museum and killing fields. Everything was colorful and happy, I was glad I went and would recommend to anyone coming here. Don't miss it!
Cambodia is a country I love to visit. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to visit. It is difficult for me to have a low cost return ticket HAN-SGN as well as my boss doesn't let me leave. As her opinion, if she let me leave, there is no one to work. My friend living there often says that Cambodia is a nice country. As usual, people thinks Cambodia is poor and underdeveloped but when you go there, your view will be changed. Till my wish will come true. Please tour Cambodia.
For a poor country, they have a fantastic national palace with amazing art, gold, silver, jade and other precious displays. I could not help but wonder how the wealth on display in the palace was being used to help Cambodia's many poor people.
I liked every thing there and the people. Everyone would enjoy it.
