GREAT EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE FOR THE POEPLE OF THIS CITY... THIS MUSEUM SEEMED TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ORGANIZED. A GREAT WAY TO GET AWAY FROM THE HUSSLE AND BUSSLE OF PHOENIX AND ENJOY ART.

Important Part of Historyby Yahoo | 2007-08-18 15:44:34 |

As an educator, I visited knowing that it was about Native Americans. I didn't realize how it would leave me affected about how Native Americans have been treated as it did. Our guide was wonderful. The mural says it all about the treatment. The display of the Indian schools was also eye-opening. Also, as I am in a wheelchair, the museum was accessible. If I had not taken the tour, I would have not realized how accessible it is. Our guide's directions for the elevator were good.

One of the best for the family. Lots to do and see for the young and the young at heart. The staff were very informative and the gift shop has some of the best Indian artist in the U.S.

You have got to see it , to believe it! The best gift shop, the best exhibits, the best live performances!! Everthing you see was hand made by native americans. The craftsmanship is out of this world.

The Heard Museum was one of the first places I went whenI moved to the valley. I liked it so much because the people there were very informative and the information they gave really helped me understand the culture that I was coming into. A few month later when my family came to visit I told them that was a very good place to go as well. The really loved it as well.
