Overview

In 1956, Phoenicians filled the grandstand shoulder to shoulder to welcome the first sports franchise in the Valley. Every year since, from October to May, locals and visitors alike herald the thoroughbred racing at this oasis. Located 14 miles north of Sky Harbor Airport, the course is in the extreme North Valley.

That's how much I like it. (well it's part of the reason) The meeting starts off in October and there are some quater horse races, but then it goes all thorobred. It's real horse racing not like the majors of Saratoga and DelMar, but in the off season, the club house is filled with people who bet DelMar. The set up is nice but you are stuck on one side of the paddock. When there is no live racing it will still cost you $5 to get a seat with a TV. It should be $2 or $3. Still you cannot beat the kind of racining they have. I'm going back.

I love it here because of the enviornment and the whole thing. I would highly recomend if you love live racing to give Turf Paradise a chance
