Overview
Created in 1892 primarily to promote visual arts, the museum is set up with several large and open viewing rooms. Do not miss the Native American collection, and the artists' works featured in the European collection will also surprise you. Also check out the North Wing's Jubitz Center, which houses modern and contemporary art. In the spring, the museum's Northwest Film Center hosts the annual Jewish Film Festival.Open Hours

The Museum has a beautiful setting on a broad park in the central city. The staff at the Museum is truly friendly, like the city itself. The collection of European paintings from the Rennaisance and following centuries is sensational for a city of this size. We missed the Impressionists. Bummer. They are "off-view" until Oct 2005 due to major building renovations. Very nice museum. Nice cafeteria. Many good exhibits, besides the traditional art of Europe. Certainly deserving of the AAA "GEM" rating!
