Overview

History, which is everywhere in the city, is most evident in its beautifully-preserved fortifications that date from the early 17th century. As the only remaining walled city in North America, Quebec has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors are free to walk along the nearly five kilometers of walls witnessing the Fortifications of Quebec National Historic Site. The interpretation centre offers an intriguing look into the military and architectural design features. Guided walking tours offer further insights.

this place is so boring i was waking down the hall when suddenly i crashed into a hobo. the next morning the butler saw mud all over the place and he found out i was there when it happend he made me clean the whole place advice: dont go in the washroom it smells like roten cheese

I was disgusted at how much money I ended up spending there! I will never go back because of the horrible attention there. I agree with the other bad comments because everything mentioned is absolutely true! My son was bitten by the bedbugs, the horrible maid was also swearing at my friends, family, and colleages. I went on a bussiness trip, and everyone was disgusted with everything there! I simply cannot believe the horrible things that happened to us that week. The fort was absolutely beautiful, and it was well built, but the service and butlers, and maids, were embarasing to the beautiful city of Quebec. Jannette Thchaikovskilaya

200 years ago, the city of Quebec was literally closed at night! And those are the remainings of the several gates that surrounded the city at that time. I really enjoyed the visit and when I was visiting I really wondered how life was back then.
