This green and open space is located in the midpoint between the northern and central parts of the city. It has become a meeting point for children and adults of all different social classes. The popular park has recently undergone a facelift as part of a program to revive rundown or abandoned green areas. On the weekends the park becomes an arts and crafts market selling all types of handicrafts from the Ecuadorian mountains. Shop for paintings, sculptures and souvenirs among many other items. Other amenities include toilet facilities, a game park and a volleyball court.
