The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is one of the most talked-about art galleries in the state. Located along Queen Street, the site could not be more appealing. The gallery was opened by Lord Beaverbrook, who was a press biggie at the time and wanted to give back to the community he grew up in by providing it with a respectable art gallery. A lot of the paintings at the gallery were from his own private collection, done by artists as great as Krieghoff, Dalí, and Reynolds. Dalí's Santiago el Grande is one of the great works found there. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery now has a vast collection of works by Canadian artists like Carr, Group of Seven, and more.
