Overview

A modern hotel built in 1979, the Rio Palace was recently bought and remodeled by Sofitel. Located at the end of the Copacabana beach overlooking the Fort, the view is fantastic, and the hotel's two swimming pools offer a similarly wonderful view. The restaurant, Le Pré-Catelan is one of the best in Rio for French cuisine. Popular with American tourists, Frank Sinatra was once a guest. The business facilities are good, with PCs available for rent.
