Overview

This famous gelateria in the center of Rome opened back in the early 1900s and has prospered ever since. There is a good choice of traditional flavors but they specialize in vanilla, chocolate and Zabaione (a dessert made of egg yolks, sugar and marsala). Also, try the fruit desserts during winter and do not miss out on perfectly prepared coffees and their whipped cream. The pavement has a long row of tables where the many passers-by take a rest on their trek down one of Rome's most famous streets, Via dei Condotti.
