It was a little crowded which prevented me from really enjoying the various works of art. Next time I am going to try to go in the slow season so that I can truly enjoy.

Beautiful, priceless art as seen in an historic and beautiful gallery located in one of Italy's most beautiful parks, The Villa Borghese. Admitance to the gallery is by reservation only for a (2) hour time slot. It is possible to view all the works up close and without crowds, but you will be hooked to return again and again. Reservations are available online or through your hotel. The reservation system is terrific. Buy the guide book before you go in since the gift shop may be closed at the end of your 2 hour visit.

If you know anything about art, you will really enjoy this place. We used the automated guide and it was very informative and really good. Just incredible artwork!!!

This was a wonderful experience. The Vatican should do the same! Travel light you have to check all bags and you only have a two hour appointment. Once we had a guide in our hands we moved through and saw what we wanted first and then went back to see the rest. This was a very pleasant experience. To see the expressions on the faces of the Bernini’s: Apollo and Daphne a must see!

There are two places you have to visit in Rome. The Colesium is one. This is the other. The art is fabulous, the history great, the english guide was clear for 4 euros extra. Ths is on the Roma Pass and worth it.

Because this is where most of the Bernini sculptures are housed, and Bernini is THE Roman artist. These sculptures are just divine--you'll never see anything this great anywhere else. The Caravaggios are pretty nice too!

What a thrill. Previous trips to Rome did not include Galleria Borghese, as it was closed for restoration. When I finally was able to get there, it did not disappoint. The sculpture is the finest collection I have ever seen. By limiting guests, one never feels crowded or unable to see properly. The Galleria Borghese is an absolute "must see" when in Rome.

I loved Rome and the Borgese is definately a "must see" which is a strong statement when you consider everything in this beautiful city. This museum is simply amazing. Unfortunately for some strange reason the staff that work at this museum do not seem to care whether you enjoy yourself or not. I do not understand why considering how friendly the italians are in general. I strongly suggest that you do your homework before you go to this museum because finding a person to ask a simple question to is almost as difficult as getting an answer to that question. When you add the 2 hour time limit that you will be held to and the fact that the next viewing will probably be sold out before you realize you really need 4 hours, you may need a bottle of wine as I did to "de-stress" afterward. Unfortunately I missed more than I saw due to poor planning on my part. This could have been easily avoided in my opinion with proper signage and a handful a people around that could answer easy questions in a few different languages. I suggest you get a guide because I regret that I didn't. I enjoyed what I saw a great deal but left with an empty feeling. Shame on Borgese they let me down as I would not do in my country to our tourists.

A true treasure. The art in this lovely home is priceless and at arm's length. Don't do without the audio tour, which gives interesting facts and anecdotes about most of the more famous pieces. The sculptures are not to be believed! One of our favorites in all of Rome.

I loved the grounds and the fact that Napolean's sister, Paulina, lived here with Count Borghese, her husband. Don't miss the statue of Paulina resting on a chaise done in marble, it looks as though the cushion she's lying on is real with all the indentations of a person really on it.
