Overview

A refined, elegant place run by one family: Maria Antoinetta, who serves in the dining room; the expert maitre-sommelier, Romeo; and Agata, who is an excellent chef. The menu is seasonal: Bass and Mushroom Ravioli, Salmon Rulade with a Citrus Mousse, Salad with Rabbit, Pomegranate and Radicchio, and the house specialty of pasta and broccoli in Brodo di Arzilla are just some of the dishes created by Agata. The desserts are delicious. Consistently among Rome's top restaurants, reservations are recommended.

      Best Meal in Romeby Yahoo | 2009-06-23 18:52:02 |

We had a wonderful dinner, we were open to trying new dishes and the staff was very helpful. They had a full house and every request was filled. Friendly, Delicious, and clean. Expensive but worth every penny.

      Disgustingby Yahoo | 2009-04-02 18:47:46 |

Me and my girlfriend thought this was the worst food we've ever had in our lives. We both live in new york city, and have traveled quite a bit. We know good food and good restaurants, and Agata e Romeo was absolutely disgusting. We had the taster menu, so tried almost all their dishes. There was a fish soup that literally almost made us throw-up. A tuna appetizer seemed like fancy feast cat food. The rest was dreadful too. We've never encountered such terrible food. And to top it off, the prices are extremely high.

      We loved it there!!!by Yahoo | 2007-05-31 09:20:28 |

Just a short walk from our hotel, this dining experience made the last night of our holiday perfect. Fabulous risotto, perfect suckling pig, and the wine recommended by the waiter was a perfect accompaniment to the meal, and not ridiculously expensive.

      a very big mistakeby Yahoo | 2007-03-26 05:16:42 |

A most disappointing experience. Characterless dining room and zero ambience. The kitchen could not manage a simple pasta dish with cheese and pepper. Notwithstanding the 30 euro price the pasta was undercooked and extremely salty. The 40 euro main course of fillet steak was ordered as medium to well done but was served rare and quite bloody. A cup coffee was 10 euros because it involved two espressos. This is a pretentious and grossly overpriced restaurant. Potential customers should also note that on the night we attended a party of 4 were turned away, not withstanding there claim to have made a reservation and confirmed it. We could hear the conversation and they recounted a reservation procedure exactly the same as the one we had experienced-quite odd unless they had in fact made the reservation. We have dined in many restaurants in Rome and it is easily possible to get far better food and service for less than half the price charged here.I would never go back nor would I recommend it.

The other person is insane ...by Yahoo | 2006-02-25 22:30:11 |

The food was fabulous - extremely expensive - but fabulous. Nice and unpretentious. If you want to feel like you know where the money went by the extravagant decor you will be disappointed. It is a very comfortable, understated place with great service and wonderful food. Is it worth it? It will depend on you.

      I will never go back to this resturant again.by Yahoo | 2005-05-31 15:40:59 |

The service was exellent, but the food was nasty and gross.
