Overview
With almost seven million different specimens São Paulo's Zoology Museum has the largest collection in South America and is a world leader for studies on biodiversity. Within the 700 square meters (7535 square feet) of the complex there is an exhibition of animals from tropical regions grouped according to their classification: fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and some invertebrates such as corals and crustaceans. The collection was started at the end of 19th Century and is constantly being improved and expanded with an emphasis placed on endangered species.Open Hours
