Overview

This biker bar is the place to go for Blues. The club jumps on the weekends when powerhouse Bay Area acts, like Lavay Smith and The Red-Hot Skillet Lickers or the Elvin Bishop Band, perform. Wednesday nights are always interesting, when members of the audience are invited to jam with the house band. The cover charge depends on the event. Tips: Take a cab; the parking lot is very small.

Open Hours

Mo to Fr from 03:00 PM to 02:00 AM, Sa from 06:00 PM to 02:00 AM

Rude and Wrong Employeesby Yahoo | 2008-03-29 06:01:32 |

When I tried to gain access by presenting my identification, the doorman and manager rudely accused me of not presenting a valid driver's license despite my license having all of the components required by state law. Lacking any believable reason for not letting me, I presume this was accusation was merely a pretext. If you are in any minority group, race, ethnicity, religion (discernible), gender identity or orientation, or not from the state of California, I would caution against having high expectations of being let in at the door. I wouldn't recommend Blue Lamp for anyone who is opposed to businesses that discriminate. I wish I could provide any feedback regarding the atmosphere, quality and pricing, but since I wasn't let in, I will not be a good source for that information.

Great local place!by Yahoo | 2004-10-12 05:36:54 |

The music is loud and many of the bands seem to be locals with a heavy cityfied feel.
