Affordable historic accomodationsby Yahoo | 2009-03-08 11:43:53 |

Beautiful and historic building. The rooms were somewhat small but well decorated; the bathroom was almost the same size as the room. The best parts were the tempurpedic mattress and the free starbucks coffee in the lobby.

LOVE it!by Yahoo | 2008-09-24 20:50:33 |

WE have stayed several times at the Peery. We love it. This is not a place to bring the kids. They do not have a pool. They have showers and the bathrooms tend to feel like a closet, but the furnishings are lovely. I felt transported to a different place and time. I felt pampered. We have styed for anniversaries and just to getaway and also we have stayed with the whole family at Christmas time. Our first stay was in a suite. If you are there for a romantic getaway then get the suite otherwise a regular room will do. Our stay at Christmas was lovely. The stair case was lined with poinsettias and was so striking I took our family picture there. If you want a quite non commercial retreat then the Peery is for you.

Old World Charm with Modern Conveniencesby Yahoo | 2008-05-02 17:28:52 |

My husband and I found this hotel on the National Register of Historical Places website, we were amazed to learn that this hotel was built in 1910 and is the only hotel in utah on the historic register that is still operating as a hotel. Upon arriving to the hotel we were welcomed by the Bellman, I think his name was Joe. He assisted us with our luggage and then offered some suggestions for dinner. The guestroom was quaint but comfortable, we really enjoyed the high ceilings and antique furniture. My husband isn't a coffee drinker, but I enjoyed the in room Starbucks coffee. Also the Bath robes & Bath and Body works amenities were nice too. We return to Salt Lake City twice a year for LDS General Conference and we are surely going to make the Peery Hotel our new tradition.

What a charmerby Yahoo | 2007-10-20 05:09:24 |

I love the location and the way they have renovated the hotel. It is so charming, and you feel like you are a world away. I think the staff is eceptional, and I am returning to stay at the Perry again this year for Christmas. This place is a bargain and I much prefer it over some chain.

Great Valueby Yahoo | 2007-10-08 16:59:21 |

We just got back from vacation and wanted to mention how great this hotel was. The people were incredibly nice and the manager sattalke with us during the reception. Our room was quite small but the hotel is 100 years old. This is a great place. Myron and wife Cleo

We spent the night of Jan. 19th, 2007 at Peery and found it to be wonderful place. The room, service and staff was great. Close to downtown and good location within walking distance of many fine restaurants. Scott & Karen

No Parking/Small Roomby Yahoo | 2007-01-16 05:44:15 |

My husband and I stayed at the Peery Hotel for Christmas. While checking in I asked about parking because there didn't seem to be any. I was told that the parking lot costs $10/day or I could park on the street but would have to move the car every two hours. This was not listed in the hotel information. Also the rooms are extremely small. The room we received was so small I had to squeeze my body to get from the bed to the bathroom, no movement space. Also the bed was so hard I woke up in severe back pain half way through the night. I was given a new room the next day but it cost me an additional $30/day. I would not recommend this hotel.

Our favorite place to stayby Yahoo | 2007-01-11 18:43:54 |

We have stayed several times and we are always happy. The first time was for our 16th wedding anniversary. I loved the decor and the history. I felt I had escaped from the world. We ate at Christopher's and felt pampered even though we are cheap and had the early bird special... which didn't feel cheap... would do it again. Another time we stayed was at Christmas. We are so tacking and took our family picture on the staircase that was lined with poinsettias. They were so pretty descending down the stairs. We even asked the receptionist to take the picture. even though we had the fam it was a blast.

Neat experienceby Yahoo | 2006-12-29 17:00:10 |

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Peery Hotel. There was excellent service, rich character in the building, non-stop bottled water, great location very close to the ski/snowboard pickup route and many places to dine and get entertainment within walking distance. We would definately go back there again. Clayton and Angela

Classic Eleganceby Yahoo | 2005-11-01 06:37:17 |

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Peery Hotel because it had the touch of old charm but is very well maintained. We are from San Francisco so turn of the century buildings appeal to us. They did a great job in rennovating the place. The front desk help was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and the location was great because it was in the midst of downtown. Lastly, you can't beat the price for what the hotel had to offer. It was worth every penny.
