Overview
Paved trails wind through naturalistic environments corralling one-half size to full-size replicas of flying reptiles, dinosaurs, crawlers and marine creatures. The replicas represent creatures from the Permian through the Cretaceous periods and all are painted in accordance with the latest theories on coloration. Some actual bones are on display and a small gift shop provides souvenirs. The park lies 35 minutes north of downtown Salt Lake. Check website for current admission prices and more information. We went for the first time during their 15-year celebration. It was WONDERFUL! My son, who is 2 1/2, LOVED it. It is hard to keep a toddler's attention for very long, but he didn't want to leave because there was so much to see and do. I thought the dinosaurs were impressively realistic without being too scary.
the dinosaurs are soooo cool, and the cave scene is awsome with the bear, and the cougars, and i really love the little wolf things stalking the outside of the cave. my favorite thing at dinosaur park is the oviraptor, because he looks like a chicken. the dinosaur museam is really cool too, the wooly mammoth hair is amazing. i like the gift shop too, because they have really cool dinosaur stuff that is a really nice price that you can not find at any other dinosaur place. the only thing i didn't like about dinosaur park is that the food there is a little pricey. but besides that, dinosaur park is my favorite place in ogden.
We have a vacation home near this park. Everytime we visit, the kids beg to go to "Dinosaur Park"! There are many interactive things inside the museum. But once you are outside - watch out! The kids won't want to leave!
A Really nice place to get out for an afternoon. Walk around with the family, fun for the kids.
My Granddaughter and I often go here to take in the exibits, have lunch on the grounds and play on the playground. The interactive exibits have left her laways asking questions and looking for more information on the dino's. This is a great place to help build a childs interst in things not often seen.
