Perfectly intimate atmosphere!by Yahoo | 2008-05-02 01:39:13 |

It was in a good location as far as I was concerned, it was my first trip to San Diego and the hotel created a comfortable home-like atmosphere that was simply peaceful, I often forgot that I was in a hotel. It was perfectly intimate for two people. Definitely looking forward to going back soon. I gave it five stars because I just simply enjoyed myself.

Ideal locationby Yahoo | 2007-06-24 02:58:30 |

Our first trip to San Diego was a successful and enjoyable vacation of four days stay at the Sommerset Inn for my wife and myself. Having a suite made the experience very pleasent. Separate bedroom and living area with a fully equipped kitchen were nice even though we ate all of our meals out. The staff was very friendly especially, Martha who was the breakfast staff, the complimentary breakfast was a nice feature. The hotel is small only eighty units offers the guest a more personal and quiet option than the large convention type hotels located on Hotel Circle which runs along the freeway. This hotel is located on Washingto street that we did not find too noisey at night no problem sleeping. We rented a car to travel around. It was nice to have free parking never had a problem finding parking at the hotel. Of course nothing is perfect in life and of course that goes for the hotel The air conditioner had a problem with the condenser leaking on the carpet causing the carpet in one corner to become soggy. The bathroom floor tiles seemed to be comming loose from the floor. and they really did the bathroom makeover on the cheap, fiberglass tub and wall surround. I pointed out to the staff these problems hopefully they will repair them for other guest. The swimming pool is not for swimming way to small and only 3 feet deep. Even with these drawbacks we would defintely stay there again.

We would go backby Yahoo | 2006-09-24 17:28:25 |

When we first pulled into the hotel we had a bit of trouble trying to find parking for our full size truck!!! we stayed in the studio suite which was clean and comfortable, the little kitchen was also a plus. For the cont. breakfast they had a nice variety to choose from.

Very noisey, no where to park.by Yahoo | 2005-12-31 03:02:41 |

I stayed at the Sommerset hotel on Washington street. If you are a person that wants quiet and a secure place to park then don't go there. It was very noisey, gaps under the door created poor insulation, traffic from Washington and when I came back to my room from a night out I could barely find a place to park and the elevator door was locked so I had to bang on the door to get someone to let me in. All this for $150.00 per night.

Loved the stayby Yahoo | 2005-08-30 15:14:22 |

The hotel was very clean, the staff were beyond friendly and courteous, I say gracious. They could not do enough for us. My husband and I stayed for 9 nights and will definitely stay here again. Our nieces took advantage of the sofa bed for three nights and said it was as comfortable as any bed.

its dirty and dingy, looks dilapitadedby Yahoo | 2005-08-22 00:27:25 |

good location, but the hotel is in serious need of repair. the rooms are clean but have an all around dingy, well-worn look and the hallways look dirty and need new carpet. As a matter of fact, the entire hotel needs new carpet. Too much money for the value if you ask me.

Good Rooms but not wonderfulby Yahoo | 2004-07-29 19:31:47 |

When I attended Tech Ed. COnf in Sandiago I stayed in this hotel for 8 days. Overall it is a good place and location. But they certanly need to improve customer service and amenities.
