Overview

A local radio show made Belmont Park's roller-coaster world famous. Hoping to win a new car, the show fans spent several consecutive hours riding the coaster. Do not miss it, but try not to get carried away as you ride one of the oldest all-wood coasters still in operation. For those not into thrills that include fast-paced turns and long free-falling drops, the ocean-front park also has an indoor swimming pool, a new wave-generation pool, and a family play-land, along with several shops and restaurants. It opens daily at 11a.

Wave Houseby Yahoo | 2008-02-19 23:08:35 |

Wave House is awesome. Never seen anything like it. Fun for the whole family. Our teens got to ride the wave, while we watched and ate a fantastic lunch and enjoyed the California lifestyle

Great Spot for Food, Sand and Seaby Yahoo | 2006-09-18 19:25:56 |

This locale is fantastic for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the North Shore Cafe is the best on the boardwalk. If the wind is up you can close it off but still enjoy the view with the see through shade! Also if it's chlly there are heaters on the ceilings that make it just right. If you're into the WAVE and the boardwalk just walk around the corner and it's all right there. This venue has a little something for everyone! You get the beach experience without being at the beach!

Giant Dipper!by Yahoo | 2004-09-13 12:49:39 |

Go for the coaster! The Wave House swimming pool & the Giant Dipper roller coaster were both built in the same era (early 20's?) & have a lot of history behind them. The rest of the amusement park is standard faire - but enough to keep the kids occupied for a while. The coaster is a creaky, old wooden affair with updated cars (for safety). It's great! It's been showcased on several tv programs that talked about classic coasters & their enthusiasts.

Fun and inexpensive night with the familyby Yahoo | 2004-07-27 14:03:37 |

Had a great time with the family. No cost for parking or entrance and buying the kids a wristband for the rides makes for hours of fun.
