Not to sound selfish but the SW has to be the best Hotel in San Francisco, but please don't spread it around too much as I want a room whenever I'm in San Francisco. The Hotel Staff are professional and personable, a difficult combination indeed. The location is so central that a short walk, cable car ride or bus ride will get you anywhere in town in minutes. The art work can be stunning. Our room was immaculate as was the service, did I mention how good the staff is? Now don't all of you run out and stay here. Like I said leave room for me.
I really enjoyed staying in Chinatown. This hotel is also very close to a bus stop, and is within walking distance to many major tourist destinations. It is adjacent to the North Beach area, and there appeared to be many good restaurants in the area. The staff were helpful, and the room was exceptionally quiet. I would stay here again.
I love staying at the SW (Sam Wong) Hotel. It must be the best deal (hotel wise) in all of San Francisco. You're right on the edge of Chinatown and just a hop, skip, and a jump away from North Beach. Plus, if you have kids with you, it's and easy walk or cable car ride to Fisherman's Wharf. The folks here are very nice and the parking is reasonable to boot! See you at the SW!
This place has an excellent location, giving easy access to Chinatown as well as really good Italian restaurants. The staff was very English-friendly and great in helping us tourists. My 17 year old daughter was a little nervous about staying in San Francisco, but the Sam Wong really helped make the trip.
Not a bad price for the big city and so centrally located where there's lots to do! We walked through Chinatown, ate Italian at the Stinking Rose, saw Beach Blanket Babylon, and had a nightcap at O'Reilly's Pub....all within 2-3 blocks of this hotel.
Very nice decor. Clean, simple, elegant. The staff are friendly, just like your favorite neighbors. Parking available in the basement garage for an additional $20. Right on the corner between North Beach's little italy and China Town.
