Overview
At the eastern end of Odori Park, the Sapporo TV Tower, which is 147.2 meters high, watches over the city. It houses an observation level at 90 meters that offers the best panoramic view of the city as well as the mountains and sea in the distance. There are also souvenir shops, restaurants and a game center, so you can take it easy and spend some time here. Although open between 9a-9p, the times are extended in some months—during the Snow Festival and New Year Period, for example—so call for confirmation.
TV tower is easy to find and for 700 yen you can go up to the top and take in amazing views of Sapporo. We went up twice at night when the city was lite up and it was amazing. The lower level has a great gift shop and a really nice restaurant. Located in Odori Park it couldn't be any easier to access while you are doing your sightseeing.
Amazing and breath taking..TV tower is such a wonderful place..the tower it self..the park around it..the scenery at night..of all the country i have been to..i must say..the scenery in sapporo ,hokkaido.Japan..is truely beutiful..it doesnt cost u much to go there..just stand and enjoy the night light.
The TV tower, located in Odori Park, offers great views of the city. There are two levels, one in the middle with a gift shop, and then an observation point near the top. If you're near Odori, you can't miss the tower, it's easy to spot, and easy to get to. Definetly worth a look!
