My family has just had a horrible and experience at the Pacific Place Shopping Center this evening. While I was shopping, my husband and my 3 1/2 year old son were riding the escalators up and down since my son thought that was great fun,and I could do a little shopping on my own. A young Asian security guard rudely asked my husband what business he had at the shopping center. My husband replied that he was waiting for his wife while she was shopping. The security guard then told him he needed to find me and leave. They were not causing any rukus,or disturbing anyone.We dress casually and we are well groomed,polite people.Just another average Northwest family. I was only gone for about 20 minutes before meeting them at our designated point(which was at a bench by the concierge desk). I came back to find my husband and child very upset and agitated because of the rude treatment. When did it become a problem for a Dad to amuse a child at a shopping center? We have been to many other malls and have ridden the elevators and escalators while Mom shopped. Very sad and dissapointing. We will not shop there again.
