At more than 80 years old, Fisherman's Terminal is still home to the North Pacific fishing fleet. Buy fresh fish in bulk straight off the boats, at bargain prices. Tourists unwilling to commit to an entire tuna dine at the nearby restaurants, which offer everything from fish-and-chips to sushi. Near Chinook's, a bronze pillar decorated with sea fauna memorializes the local fishermen lost at sea in the 20th century.Deadliest Catch BoatWhat Seattle's Really Like... mellow.
My husband loved the Fisherman's Terminal because he got to see a boat from Deadliest Catch and the crab bins. Otherwise, not to much to see but a lot of boats.
This is something to add to your day while perusing Ballard, The Locks and Magnolia. Not to be confused with Fisherman's Wharf in San Fran. This place is more mellow. Nice to walk among the actual fishing boats, see the people working on them, get a sense of Seattle most tourists may miss. Love Chinooks. The restaurant is good food, often filled with people. Little Chinook's great for a quick fix of fish and chips.
