Kelsey Creek Park and Farm, a sedate 150-acre park is a favorite with kids not only for the grass, sand and slides, but also for its resident population of pigs, chickens, horses and other farm animals. Kids get up close and personal with the animals, and have the opportunity to learn about animal care. For adults, the park offers more than two miles of hiking trails, including a gravel trail ideal for walking, jogging or biking. Admission to the park is free, so bring lunch and relax at one of the picnic tables.
Loved that it is close to "home". It is geared for wee ones who have a "short attention span". A super "short fun outing".It is great for "toddlers and pre-schoolers". It is a delightful, managable "farm" experience.
I love this farm/park. It just has a lot of great things to do, especially for kids. It's a great place to have birthday parties or to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Good place to visit with kids - visit barn animals and stroll in the park, go to their Annual sheep shearing event (usually in April and in October) or try pony rides. Its a family friend farm/park. If you are going there though, be careful, don't forget to lock your cars, take your personal belongings like wallet, purse, car-keys. It can get broken into in broad day light and within minutes.
