    Quite niceby Yahoo | 2009-10-29 05:34:43 |

There was an extensive collection of coral reef, otters and sea lions. If we come back to Seattle again, we'll probably visit again.

    Great experienceby Yahoo | 2009-08-24 06:52:50 |

We enjoyed all the different rooms and displays. Just when I thought it was over, there was another room to come!

First and last trip was last summerby Yahoo | 2009-07-19 15:38:56 |

A very expensive version of a tiny zoo. I understand Washington is special with our species of sea life and vegitation, but we are also interested in OTHER sea life as well. It was so expensive for such a small walk around. Thankfully the piers gave us something to do for the rest of the day, because this aquarium didn't put out.

    Enjoyable. Just wish it wasn't so crowded.by Yahoo | 2009-06-22 06:22:59 |

As a local, I've visited the Seattle Aquarium about 3 or 4 times. It's not special, and the exhibits are certainly not impressive, but it is nonetheless a good experience if you just wish to see and learn about a few of the inhabitants of Puget Sound. If not for the seals and otters, the touch pools, and the (crowded) underwater dome, a trip to a local marine pet store would provide the same satisfying experience and save you $16.00 per person. You should plan your visit on a weekday, especially if you're a claustrophobic like me. Otherwise you'll find yourself having to squeeze through all the people and their children just to view the fish.

    People from Seattle are full of it.by Yahoo | 2009-03-30 03:23:14 |

I just moved here from the Bay Area and after seeing other aquariums I would rather have tourists save their cash for real aquariums. People from Seattle obviously do not have a clue about what a real aquarium has to offer...Monterey Bay Aquarium is worth every penny this aquarium left me disappointed. If it had been half price and I would have been ok...But due to the price I will tell people to save their money for their trip to Monterey. Get over your pride for this aquarium...It really is just OK.

    Visited in August 2008by Yahoo | 2008-08-03 03:07:06 |

I brought eight-year-old boys and had a great time. I do wish they offered more information about the exhibits in the wall text--in fact the place seems far less scientific than the Monterey Aquarium--but we met two staff members on the ground floor who spent more than 15 minutes each with me and my kids educating us on sea stars and sea anemones. They were wonderful and we all learned a great deal. Also the cafe has great views.

Kid friendly, but not a lot for adultsby Yahoo | 2008-07-09 21:50:25 |

There were a lot of unique features that would bedazzle young children, but as an adult touring without kids, the aquarium didn't have too much to offer. Some insight into local birds and sea animals, but nothing spectacular to speak of.

    What were you expecting????by Yahoo | 2008-05-27 04:47:24 |

Seriously? To all those disgruntled reviewers, what the heck were you expecting? Sea Lion Shows? Rides on Orcas? Dolphins leaping? If you are looking for that kind of entertainment, go to those big, hyped aquariums where the visitors look like they belong in the tanks rather than on the visitor's side. My wife and I spent nearly two and a half hours in the Aquarium, taking our time to see the specimens, the differences of each one, talking to the staff, reading the literature, and many other priceless learning opportunities. The objective of this Aquarium is more to educate the visitor about the LOCAL life. There is so much in the aspects of Marine Life in WA waters, but this Aquarium did an excellent job at covering most aspects. What were you expecting? To be kissed by a dolphin? Get real!

    OUTSTANDINGby Yahoo | 2008-05-26 23:35:54 |

SHUT UP!!! people best aquarum yet everything there is so intresting and outstanding i love it i would go there every day if I could. So i would inspire you to go there im doing a research project on it and its a really unique place and a lot to learn

    IT'S A SHAME FOR THIS CITYby Yahoo | 2008-04-28 06:43:45 |

that aquarium was impossible FOR VISITING. Free to be, i swear i won't come back there anymore. I think that the aquarium's staff do not have common sense to take so much money for nothing.
