Overview

There's not much grass at Waterfall Gardens, but that won't bother you for long. The dominant materials in this Pioneer Square park are wood, concrete and water. It's like stepping into a Zen water and rock garden. The splashing water drowns out traffic noise and soothes the soul, while the few plants stir gently in the breeze. Benches provide a welcome urban respite. There's a plaque on the outside wall commemorating, the birthplace of the United Parcel Service.

what a great thing!by Yahoo | 2006-02-03 17:36:54 |

I just couldn't believe my eyes! If I was living in Seattle I would go there all the time to read books and relax. The place smells good, the flowers are beautiful and it's very peacefull. You should go there for a quick visit! =)

Serendipityby Yahoo | 2005-12-15 17:26:06 |

I just moved to seattle from the country to go to school here, so by the time i visited the park I needed to see some real trees and some nature. I didnt think i was in the right area when all of a sudden this loud sound of rushing water was all i could hear and then before you know it you are inside of this beautiful park that normaly you would only stumble upon by mistake if you just happen to be walking by. But what a beautiful mistake it was.

A little hard to findby Yahoo | 2005-09-01 23:37:00 |

I've lived in Seattle most of my life, but since I had a committement in the Seattle area, I decided to add this as a "touristy" thingy to do. Honestly I found it hard to locate this place even with the directions, address, etc. In order to get in (if ya driving) there is paid parking about 1/2 block down and ya'll just need to walk the 1/2 block back to the waterfall garden. Other than being hard to locate, it was beautiful.

I have lived in Seattle since 1964. Waterfall Garden park has been here since 1977. I found it June 27, 2005. I have been ther 4 times in two days. It is so beautiful and it was a shock to find, a very pleasant surprise. I love it there!!
