Great store!by Yahoo | 2008-12-24 03:22:39 |

Kyobo is a wonderful bookstore. The English language selection is very good, and they have excellent customer service. The prices are very reasonable. If there is anything you want they do not have, they will order it for you and it will come in less than 2 weeks. It's located in an easily accessible and interesting neighborhood close to both Gwanghwamun and City Hall train stations.

suited all my needsby Yahoo | 2007-08-11 19:59:01 |

I loved Kyobo bookstore. As a military wife living in Seoul for 2 years I was able to find a lot of books for myself, my husband and our preschooler. They even have Leapfrog learning system and other top brands available. The PX often sold out of "high demand" selections quickly. So it was nice to have a place to go within the area for a quick present or replacement. Of course Amazon works as well, but try telling a 2 and 3 yr old they have to wait for a "catalog order" to come in the mail. An outing to Kyobo was always a great getaway for the moms or a great family day with kids and husbands in tow. So much to see, do and READ!! We loved meeting with visiting authors as well as artists. The English teaching section was great for homeschooling and tutoring needs as well. They had current releases of many well known American and British authors as well. Of course you may pay a little more for "imports", but you simply cannot live overseas and shop on the internet alone. You simlpy must engulf yourself in the culture and enjoy!!

An excellent place to browseby Yahoo | 2005-08-12 07:56:35 |

As a Western scholar living in Korea and having limited access to scholarly books, it was refreshing to visit Kyobo Bookstore. A superb offering of Korean books, the English titles offer sufficient diversity to satisfy all but the most selective reader. I plan to visit regulary.

Poor selectionby Yahoo | 2005-05-24 01:38:51 |

There is a very poor selection of books available in English. Many classic titles are unavailable. The history selection contains large gabs in coverage. The philosophy selection lacks basic works.
