Overview
Built in 1901, the six-kilometer-long Huai Hai Road commemorates the Huai Hai Battle during Liberation. Today, this road has become synonymous with what is trendy and fashionable in Shanghai. While the stretch between Shan Xi Road and Xi Zang Road is the busiest section (and best for people-watching), this commercial street contains more than 400 shops, restaurants and businesses. The remnants of French architecture give the street its cosmopolitan charm. Many nearby attractions add to its appeal, including the proximity of Doctor Sun Yat-sen Former Residence and Memorial Hall. Its atmosphere chasrming beautiful lights at night with romantic feel n elegant shops with majestic building n good food everywhere good for couples to stroll hands together n beautiful parks gardens just nearby
Huai Hai Road is the only place to be in Shanghai. Shopping, Food, Bars it has it all. From every kind of restaurant you can thinkm off, to all the shops and dept stores, the fake market and a bar street all within 5 min walk of the huaihai rood metro station. All expensive malls like plaza 66 and north nanjing road is also a short and picturesque walk. by far the best place to stay in shangahi
i like this place because a lot nice cafe and restaurant so if make B'day party, farewall friends or something else, we always looking for this place
The long road consists of various stores, shops and dept stores, awesome shopping area... however be extra aware of the vendors to try to lure you to their stalls/shops usually found at xiang yang mkt, they will ask u if wanted to see bags or watches or brand named items then either follow u around until u decide to check out their merchandise. Once there, u are cornered until u buy something. Although they have great items for a good price, note that u may come across some situation with airport customs for fake items or pirated cd/dvds.
Many shops on this road. This road is very long, east section, middle section, west section... Expect to spend at least half a day there! Lots of nice fashion stores.
Most classical street in Shanghai. Very classy and prestigious.
There is lots of fun things to do and see and if you go there you will have a great time.
