Overview

The Kampong Museum is situated in the Malay Village in the heart of Geylang. It displays a variety of textiles, kites and a modest collection of artefacts like the kris and household instruments. The traditional Malay homestead is also featured, with waxwork figures engaged in activities like fishing and rice-pounding. Audio-visual presentations offer a colorful insight into Malay weddings, games and kampong life. The Lagenda Fantasi is a multi-sensory show for children, complete with laser and sound effects, recounting legendary tales like Sang Nila Utama, Aladdin and Ali Baba with a Singaporean slant.
