Overview
Sunny Bookshop is immensely popular with students, voracious readers as well as the general crowd. And it is easy to see why it's floor-to-ceiling shelves are simply overflowing with books. The aisles tend to be a little narrow since bookshelves take up much of the floor space. The range of fiction titles is extremely wide, covering titles from Maeve Binchy, Kurt Vonnegut and Hunter S Thompson to paperback romances. In addition, you can often find newly published titles at cheaper prices. There is also a wide collection of children's fiction, non-fiction and Chinese titles. If you love books, if you're one of those few brave spririts who aren't afraid to confess they love romance, Sunny Bookshop is definitly a must to visit. The prices aren't actually cheap, but they have almost everything! You might be able to find various titles by your favorite authors here. Most of the books are new, the staff are knowledgable and quite helpful. Fixy
call this a book shop? disorganised, foul smelling unresponsive staff , very old books, mostly torn, old books do not know where they got them from, perhaps from what got thrown out
Bought and rent tons of romance novels here. Always drop in every time I visit Singapore. The price is of course lower than the regular bookshops, and they keep getting lower as more person rent it before you. I always visit with a long list of novels, and sometimes got lost in the midst of the books (literally floor-to-ceiling books... HUGE collection). Staffs are very friendly, helpfull and as if they've already read all those books! (can give u recommendations too which authors you might like).
