Overview

This modern resort island located south of Singapore is more than just sentosa (tranquil). Apart from the sandy beaches that extend for three kilometers and the lush tropical fauna, it offers a kaleidoscope of historical enclaves, adventure parks, landscaped gardens, pubs, restaurants, spas, and a variety of museums. The Underwater World, for instance, is Asia's largest tropical fish oceanarium. With so many attractions awaiting you, it is best to come early.

friendship dayby Yahoo | 2008-11-08 09:41:38 |

My friends and I celebrated our 8years of friendship and decided to celebrate it in Singapore! Lucky us.. One whole day in enough for SENTOSA tour!!! I enjoyed the skyride and luge... It's true.. one ride is not enough. But what I enjoyed most and was really amazed of was the "Songs of the Sea" I loved it. Hope to be back there soon.

STILL WANT TO GO BACKby Yahoo | 2008-03-03 04:55:08 |

I've been to Sentosa twice in consecutive years (2006 & 2007) and I really love the place. I like the LUGE and CHAIRLIFT or SKYRIDES, it so fantastic and at the same time scary but enjoyable. I've been to Underwater world and dolphin show and a lot more. Though I've watched the Fountain Show I still want to see it again. The next time I'm going there I might try to swin on the beach....

Great palce 4 family !by Yahoo | 2007-04-21 08:48:44 |

I had a really good time there. The place was very nice and i had lot of fun. The view from the sky tower really has a great view. It is worth the cost. The Palawan Beach i went to was really unlike other beaches in Singapore.although there was some upgrading work going on near the end of the beach, i didn't affect us all. It is a good place to go to relax, but it gets hot at noon. anyway i cant wait to go back.

Best place in Singaporeby Yahoo | 2007-04-11 05:41:28 |

I had a pleasant trip to Sentosa last week, the admission ticket is cheap, $3 including all transportation in the island. The food court also good, the food price is also cheap. Really recommended! Two thumbs for Singapore for developing sentosa.

COOL PLACEby Yahoo | 2007-03-31 04:47:27 |

BEACHES ARE NICE. LOTS OF PPL ON THE WEEKENDS, SO BE AWARE OF THAT BECAUSE OF THE UNDERWATER WORLD. THEY HAVE DOLPHIN LAGOON, PINK DOLPHINS AND SOMETIMES YOU CAN EVEN SWIM WITH THEM. UNDERWATER WORLD IS SMALL, BE CAREFUL NOT TO SPEND MONEY IF YOU LIKE HUGE ATTRACTIONS, THIS ONE CAN BE DISAPPOINTING. THE BEACHES ARE THE BEST, WEEKDAYS~PERFECT TIME TO SEE IT.

Great place for a familyby Yahoo | 2006-09-07 08:43:51 |

Its a good tourist spot for family especially, kids to enjoy those rides and the place itself. Sky view is a plus. Cable car ride was the best way to get a cool view of surroundings and a different experience of travel. The basic S$59 by Faber Tours was good enough for a day long trip with good points of visit. Shopping on that island is still expensive. This place is fantastically connected to public transportation services. Preservation of natural habitat is amazing. Worth for a day long trip. Trip to the other small islands nearby breathtaking.

A tourist trap, but inoffensiveby Yahoo | 2006-05-21 05:33:00 |

There are a few cool things to do on Sentosa. The museum and Ft Siloso are both quite good... most everything else is spendy beyond what you get. The fountain show is pretty good. Easy to get to. MRT drops you off near by, cable car, bus or via car. You could walk it, but the hike is pretty far. There are more interesting things to do in Singapore, but if it is your first time, then it is probably worth it.

Sentosa Island: A Day of Fun in the Sunby Yahoo | 2006-03-06 02:46:45 |

You can start your trip to Sentosa Island 3 different ways. 1)By Bus, 2)By Fary or, and this is my favorite, 3)By Cable Car. The Cable Car ride takes you from the city of Singapore, up up up and over the small water way, down down down to Sentosa Island. When you arrive you can either walk to all the various theme/Historical areas or take the tram which stops at various staions around the island. There is a water park, a old spanish fort, the Aquarium (Which is Awsome), The Orchid Garden, The Musical/Dancing Fountains, The Volcano Theme Show and of course the Giant Merlion (Guardian of Singapore). The Beach area, which is located on a small islet that you get to by crossing a robe bridge, is a great place to relax in the sun, and believe me, it gets sunny and hot there. The food was excellent, while it does catter to more western style foods, you can find a local meal here and there. All in All my wife and I had a great time and would recommend it to one and all.

Pretty much a tourist trap, but a very good one, if that's what you want. Very clean, lots to see and do but nothing very unique. Cable car ride over is worthwhile for the views - don't forget to stay on to the top on the way back to Singapore mainland for a lovely hilltop view. Very clean and pristine as this is where Singapore hopes to develop a beach holiday industry. Plenty of shady areas which is nice for a break from city hussle and bustle. Military museum well done if you like those sort of things.
